The Pinot Noir vineyards, on average are 10 years old and produce a deep coloured, aromatic wine with ripe black and red berry flavours and a classic earthy Pinot Noir bouquet.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 5 years
The Côte de Nuits is the northern of the two districts of the Côte d'Or, stretching from Marsannay to Corgoloin. This 3.5 hectares vineyard was purchased by Maison Louis Jadot in 1996. Approximately 2.5 hectares are planted with Pinot Noir vines and the remaining part with Chardonnay. It is situated in the village of Comblanchien, and adjacent to the well know Clos de la Marechale, a famous Premier Cru of Nuits Saint Georges.
From the tip of Chablis to the toe of Beaujolais, from regional, village, 1er Cru and Grand Cru wines Louis Jadot produces Burgundy and nothing but Burgundy. The familiar Bacchus head label has become the reliable stamp of quality and consistency from what can often be a confusing region. Louis Henry Denis Jadot founded the business in 1859. His vision was to build a business with a high quality reputation.
