Richer and more complex than the usual Vinho Verde, this delightful wine is crisp and dry, zinging with mouthwatering lemon and a refreshing suggestion of sherbet.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Susy Atkins - Delicious Magazine 01/02/2012Reconsider Vinho Verde with this modern version, an almost dry, rather Spring-like white. It's fragrant and fresh with apricot flavours and a dab of vanilla. Pair with oily fish, such as sardines, for a super-healthy feast.

Really enjoyed this wine, nice freshness, what I would expect for Vinho Verde. Can't understand the bad reviews. Good if you like dry, and sharp lemon flavours. would recommend

I bought a case of this after tasting it at an event at Christmas. WOW - Great freshness, lovely citrus flavours that you would expect from a Vinho Verde. The wine is dry and crisp, but with a good flavour which you just can't go wrong with. Would highly recommend.

If you are a fan of vinho verde, you will probably expect the wine to be vibrant, slightly sparkling, very zingy and refreshing. This wine possesses neither of those qualities. The cheaper vinho verde sold by Tesco is much better.

I should have known better 'richer and more complex' was more like disgustingly chemicalised wine at its very worst! I really like a good young Vinho Verde with its lemony crisp and dry, lightly 'buzzing' flavours. I'm surprised at Tesco's wine tasters who are normally very good at just how bad the contents of the bottle really were! So disappointing especially when I was so looking forward to my tipple on New Years Eve! Take it from me, only buy Vinho Verde if its truly from Portugal and has a cork and not a screw top and looks slightly green in colour - you won't go wrong!

Having been a fan of Vinho Verde for a long time, I bought the Tesco Finest expecting a step up from other Vinho Verde's. Boy was I wrong. The wine was weak and insipid. No body, lack of flavour, just terrible. I will certainly not be buying this again, and would advise anybody reading this review to steer well clear.

Nice fresh wine. This will go well with everything, especially fish and chicken.

Recently went to Madeirafor a holiday. Very much enjoyed Casal Garcia wine, so have tried to find an equivalent Vinho Verde in the UK. Unfortunately the wine bought from Tesco falls well short, I won't be repeating this purchase.

This was deep yellow in colour and tasted like a cheap, over oaked Chardonnay. It was so awful I thought the bottle was corked so opened another which tasted the same. I returned it to the store as it was undrinkable. It was not crisp, or dry and did not taste of lemon. However, Tesco refunded my money without any question so I went back to my usual Sauvignon Blanc!

For the price, this is a fantastic everyday white wine. Great with fish and chicken or without food. Ideal to have in store should someone just pop in.
