Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.

This is a really beautiful wine, made from a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah, so typical of the wines from this region in the southern Rhone.
Made from grapes grown in vineyards close to the town of Chateauneuf du Pape, the incredible fruit flavours are due in part to the unique climate and soil, including large 'galet' stones (a bit like giant pebbles) that retain the heat of the sun during the day and continue to ripen the grapes in the evening.
With rich, dark fruits laced with spice, this works really well with roasted red meats.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 8 years
Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the most widely known and most iconic region in the Rhone Valley. The literal translation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape is "the Pope's new castle." Like many other top French wine regions, Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a long history guided by numerous figures within the church and monarchy. It has the perfect climate for wine production and a world renowned reputation for quality wines. Kind regards Amy
The Chateauneuf du Pape appellation is starting close from Avignon up to Orange. In between is the famous town of Chateauneuf du Pape. The land is very typical with those rolled pebbles and clay that give the specificity of this fantastic terroir.
