This vibrant pink wine is bursting with fresh, lively cherry and strawberry aromas.
Natural fruit sweetness has been retained in this wine.
Zesty cherry, strawberry and red fruit flavours together with great length and a clean finish.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Calloway Crossing is a place steeped in history, having been a natural meeting point for vineyard growers in the days of horse and cart transport. The name was given to the spot where the road running from the vineyards crossed the creek.

Flavoursome Shiraz fruit was selected from our company vineyards in the Riverland region of South Eastern Australia to create this lively, easy-drinking, exciting young wine.

This wine disappointed us but only because it was too dry for our taste. I do feel that this wine should be in the DRY section - the bottle classifies it as dry but Tesco have put it in the Medium section. Friends who like a drier wine think it is gorgeous but we are very disappointed. Perhaps time to change the category Tesco?

This review is for the 2011 vintage
For those who enjoyed the 2010 vintage the 2011 is a different beast. Although sharing much the same flavour profile of red fruit and hints of spun sugar this one is much darker in colour. This increase in tannin separates this wine from other rosè and makes it more comparable to a light pinot or a red sancerre in structure, being slightly more astringent and drying. the aforementioned fruit content saves it though. The 2010 was a 4*.
