Expert Opinion

In the press...

Ofthe 2012 vintage, Jamie Goode said: "Pure and focused, this delicious malbec offers sweet blackberry and cherry fruit notes rounded off with a satisfying spicy bite."

Jamie Goode - S Magazine, Sunday Express 23/11/2014

Tahuan is an abbreviation of “Tahuantinsuyu” which means “the four lands united" in Quechua (an Inca language). We have four varietals, corresponding to the four regions of the Tahuantinsuyu, the Inca empire of the Andes. Each of the varietals are made to best express the unique varietal character of the four widest planted grapes in Mendoza.

Regional info

The Province of Mendoza is Argentina's largest and most important wine region, where more than 80% of the country's top wines are produced. Situated in the foothills of the Andes, at the western border of Argentina, Mendoza is between the latitudes of 32 and 37 degrees south. Mendoza is as far away from the equator as Napa and many other world class wine regions and has a unique combination of high altitude terrain, desert climate, low humidity and natural irrigation from glacial snowmelt.
