Rich, ripe plum and dark berry aromas with hints of cherry and raspberry over savoury, smoky oak and complex star anise.

This wine can be enjoyed now or carefully stored for up to 3 years from purchase
In 1850 at the age of 20, Thomas Hardy came to South Australia from England and established a winery on the banks of Adelaide's River Torrens in 1853 which went on to become an outstanding family wine business. He was a pioneer of immense character.
Graham Buller
Fruit for this wine was sourced from from quality vineyards around South Eastern Australia where riper fruit parcels were specifically selected to achieve a style rich in body and flavour.

If you like a fruity full bodied wine that can be drunk with or without food this is the one for you. It's a nice soft wine with no after bite the blend of the three grapes enhances the flavour we have never had a poor bottle and we have been drinking this wine now since we discovered it in Tesco some years ago, well done Tesco this is our favourite red.

Excellent wine. We had it for a wedding 2 years earlier and this vintage is just as good.

Considering the year and the bargain price, this can only be regarded as excellent. I've been enjoying it's year on year reliability which is some credit to their blending skills. Dark, reasonably complex and a mouthful of after tastes. Keep it coming.

I have consumed this wine for years and whilst I don't pretend that it's a "Fine Wine" the quality remains remarkably consistent. As a wine that can be consumed on a weekly basis, and at a price (when on offer) that is well below it's quality value, I shall continue to fill my wine rack regularly.

We have loved this wine since finding it on the shelf at Tesco and have seldom seen it in other stores. This wine compliments both red and white dishes, and is most acceptable drank alone the flavour is great being a mixture all red "fruits" a truly Aussie wine.

I have never been disappointed by Hardy's, so as a safe choice of red wine this one hits all the spots. Really nice blend, and easy drinking

This is an excellent wine, I think quite full-bodied and by far my favourite. It is a great buy when reduced. I do keep an eye out for it at half price and would always buy it then. Full price is a little too much! So come on Tesco - keep it a regular on the half price list. Your customers will love you. Every little helps!

Exactly as it says on the label, a well rounded, balanced wine with deep fruit flavours, savoury undertones and subtle oak. I've purchased 3 cases and would definitely buy again once it's run out!!

It is wonderful way to obtain our favourite wine, the prices are attractive (same as the store), but it is delivered to the door, which of course prevents the difficulty of "humping" it to and from the car. At times the delivery is free which makes the experience even more pleasing. Well done Tesco.

Have tried both the 11 and 2012 vintage and enjoyed them both. A superb mix of grapes with wonderful flavors and very drinkable on its own. I do encourage the more adventurous to have a bottle with their favorite curry. Great price when on offer

I personally find this particular full body red delightful to drink. The three grape combination works a treat. I would always buy either a shiraz or merlot, never a cabernet on its own. I will say that I only buy this wine when it is on offer at under £5 per bottle and although I like it I would not pay full price of £10.99. It would be nice to see more pubs/restaurants selling this type of wine, I find most reds sold in pubs these days taste like red wine vinegar! I would reccommend this wine.

This is full bodied red wine which is easy on the palate and consistently of good quality. At it's "full price" of £11/bottle it's perhaps a bit expensive but at the occasionally discounted price of around £5.50, it's good value and well worth putting a few bottles aside. This is certainly my red wine of choice at £5.50/bottle

This is probably our favourite red wine. Full bodied, smooth, rich flavour and consistent year by year. Well worth the standard price of £10 / £11 a bottle. When on offer for as little as £4 a bottle its an absolute steal !!

This is a great everyday wine when bought for no more than £5.50. At this price its easy going smooth flavour and clean bouquet knock spots off everything else in that price bracket. At its full price there are many others to choose from of equal or better quality. In short this is probably a £7- £8 bottle of wine that you can regularly pick up for £5 and at that price it's well worth stocking up on. Friends now affectionately refer to Hardy's Crest as our House Wine.

As said in another review, I only buy this when on offer at £5.50 being the most expensive. Today it is 62% off and works out at £4.11 a bottle, I have even bought it at £3.79? Anyway a huge discount. The wine is worth the over £10 price, even if I never pay it, as it is so smooth and delicious. Too easy to drink sometimes. I would recommend this to any serious wine drinker!!

Our favourite everyday red for over a decade. It's full of fruity flavour with a delicious aftertaste, ideal with steak or roasts and highly drinkable by itself on the sofa - each mouthful is a little moment of pure pleasure! At £5.49 it's well worth 5 stars and my 4-star rating is only because £10.99 would push me towards other good wines in the £5-6 bracket. Happily it's often discounted. Go on - try it!
