A fresh, crisp and enticing wine displaying tropical fruit flavours.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
Since 1912 the Osborn family have grown grapes and made wine in the picturesque surrounds of McLaren Vale. Today fourth generation family member Chester Osborn is at the winemaking helm, making distinctive wines using traditional methods in the winery and the vineyard.
Chester d’Arenberg Osborn
Vineyards lie between southern Mt Lofty ranges and Gulf of St Vincent. Soils vary greatly because the area is made up of glacial deposits, beach sand, limestone and terra rossa. In McLaren Vale the climate is Mediterranean, cool nights and cooling breezes from the southern sea and gulf of St Vincent. Wet, cool spring reduces vigour and yield. Warm, dry summers and autumn are ideal for ripening.

When you order a Viognier you expect a crisp wine with strong fruit/floral taste. This particular wine does exactly this. However the second half of the bottle tasted even better on the second day. I would certainly buy this wine again.

This wine is delicious. It is not too dry, it's smooth and with a lovely long finish. I would recommend it to anyone for drinking as a social drink or with any meal based around chicken or fish.

Having visited the d'Arenberg winery I was very pleased to see that Tesco had this wine under their Finest label as d'Arenberg has an enviable reputation. Banish thoughts of Aussie wines being overoaked or tasting hugely alcohlic. Despite weighing in at 14 degrees this strength doesn't overpower the complex taste of this interesting wine. The first time I've seen this blend of grape varieties from the Southern Hemisphere. I'm always looking for something different and this is a great addition to the Finest range which I've found to be of consistently excellent quality.
