Whilst enjoying this wine i thought it could/should have been slightly smoother. A very good bouquet with a fine wine feel, the long fruity finish having a slight edge.

Ordered this wine after tasting it at the Wine Fair. As a regular vineyard visitor, I was looking for a quality Spanish wine, which has frankly been a fruitless task for some years now. Not so this one. To my delight it tasted better at home than on the day. People's palates perceive things differently, but to me, this is a hearty, earthy wine with a spicy undertone - perfect for countering the strong flavours of seasonal fare on the horizon. For comparison, against my 'staple' house wine choice of Wolf Blass, I might be persuaded to change that longstanding view. Time will tell if the quality remains consistent in the longterm, but if it does, I will definitely be buying this hidden gem again.

WHY BOTHER TO BUY IN FRANCE? This wine is better than more expensive French wines bought locally there - where I lived for 3 years BUT if you want cheap without character, buy French wines over there for about £1 per bottle (though you might as well drink cheap U.K. cider if you just need to be inebriated). Truly a classy wine, with vintage flavours to excite your palette.

good full bodied wine with sharp summer fruit flavours, a hint of vanilla and possibly bay leaf. Ideal to drink without food. Spanish wine is on the up.
