Background
History
The Cistercian monks from the Abbey of Pontigny began growing vines here in the 12th century. The vineyards of Chablis run along a little river aptly named the Serein.

This review is for the 2010 vintage
Too many years drinking whisky have probably made it difficult for me to appreciate the finer wines. However I thought I'd try this Chablis to see what £7 a bottle gets you. I enjoyed it but perhaps not as much as I was hoping. Will I buy it again? No. Will I try other wines in this price bracket and above? Yes (but with caution!).

I thoroughly enjoyed this wine, and it was an excellent accompanient to many meals, and also to "party snacks", and other informal eating and drinking, during the" Festive Season". Well done Tesco!
