Australia transformed the wine world in the 1980's with full flavoured, soft and fruity styles. This wine has been specially created with Tesco from our vineyards throughout South East Australia to capture the soft fruity styles that people love.

The grapes for this wine were grown in the warm, sunny vineyards along the Murray River as it meanders through New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, a perfect grape growing environment.

Highly recommended. Very easy to drink. No after-taste. Exceptionally good value for the price. No need to pay more. Will certainly buy again.

This is a McGuigan wine, I believe, with the same grapes as their £8.99 offering. It's not bad at all, with a light, reasonably dry taste. Good value.

There is no vintage date on the bottle. But I like this wine for its taste and price. Some so called experts will say it is rubbish. But I know what I like and I really do like this wine

This wine has a fairly strong tannin taste which is not unusual with the what I think is basically Cabernet Sauvignon grape. On pouring the, wine looks a bit lifeless but at this price it is a relatively cheap and not too bad everyday plonk

This wine is a good safe bet the quality never varies. Probably a second or third press of a blend of good quality grapes. Tip when giving to friends mix it in with a decent expensive cabernet or shiraz , makes the good ones go further

A good star rating attracted me to this "ordinary " wine and I was not disappointed. The price was very reasonable for the quality and is ideal for a wet Wednesday evening meal! I would buy this again as it is unpretentious and could be used generously to flavour cooking.

This wine needs plenty of air time, but isn't half bad. It has some depth and goes nicely with a good steak (never eat bad steak). For the price I suggest if you like muscly new world you give it a whirl.

I must have bought a tanker load of this wine. It is my (our) favourite, which I drink on a daily basis because it is smooth, unchallenging and light. I now drink heavier or more sophisticated wines only on special occasions because my palate likes it that way. When the cost factor is taken into account this wine is unbeatable. Well done the Ozzy blenders.

Nothing wrong with this everyday wine, great for gatherings as it is reasonably priced. Not really going to be a topic of conversation, but let the wine flow.

I used to pay about £12/bottle for a french wine very similar to this from a wine merchant - NOT ANY MORE. I can't believe how smooth and scrummy (technical term!), this wine is. I originally bought it thinking it would be cheap & cheerful for Sangria - but having tasted it - no way - much too good! A lovely smooth, easy drinking red - ab fab! x

This wine is light and enjoyable. It can be chilled and enjoyed in summer at a BBQ. Drank at dinner parties, without spoiling the taste of the meal, as many heavier wines do.. It enhances the meal it is drunk with and not overwhelms it It is an excellent price for such a pleasant wine.

Always trawling through the Tesco cheap end reds for every day drinking. Often dissappointed. I should always stick with this wine. Reliable consistent blending ( how do they do that?). I always get a couple of cases with my order. First class product.

This is a beautiful and lively coloured Australian red. It is fine, fruity, delicate, well balanced with a unique bouquet and special taste. It goes with most food. In my opinion this is excellent value for money.

Its true what Tesco say, their Australian red wine is soft easy drinking. As one who enjoys a couple of glasses each evening it never varies month on month. How you get it all the way from Australia for the price beggers belief. I'm afraid once I have found what I like I tend to stick to it, long may it continue

There are only two types of wine ,those you like the taste of and those you dont. But how to find out the diference for your individual taste ? There is only one sure way to findout ,drink some. For further enjoyment you can read about wines or go to a wine tasting party but always bear in mind that your aim is to find a wine you will enjoy. Do not buy a wine to impress others because it is expensive or exclusive, that is for investors not wine drinkers. Reading wine lables they used to be more confusing than informative, So were the many myths surrounding the storeing ,opening and pouring of a bottle of wine. That was before the Australian wine makers got together some 20 years or so ago and began marketing their excellent wines at affordable prices consisatant with quality in bottles with screw tops and lables that were informtive of what the tasteof the content would be. That is why for "every day"drinking I drinking I buy the wine shown above. ENJOY

Australian wines charm because of their massive fruit & depth. This one doesn't but probably reflects the low price & the probable last grape pressings. Spend £1 more & you will generally taste the difference.

This wine in appearance is very deceptive as the labelling is pretty cheap looking as is the price but the surprise of the whole package is the taste. Very pleasant, palatable wine and will definitely be buying more!

Tesco's Australian Red Wine is a gem of a wine, it is very good value for money, smooth, fruity - with loads of black currant overtones - and full bodied, We find it extreemly quaffable and easily equals many wines costing twice it's price.

I am no wine expert but I know what I like. I prefer red wine generally. I don't believe that a high price necessarily means a good wine. I have been buying this particular wine ever since Tesco started selling it - I was firstly attracted by the very low price and have to say I was VERY impressed. It is very smooth and enjoyable. I mostly drink it at room temperature but have also enjoyed it served cold, even with ice, during the warmer weather and have found it to be very refreshing. I have served this wine to all my friends, some of whom are very discerning, and they have all been very impressed with both the quality and the price. Many of them are now converts. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it is not always in stock at my local store but I have solved this problem by ordering it on line.
