Background
History
Bodegas y Viñedos O.Fournier Group was founded in 2000 by José Manuel Ortega Fournier, an ex banker from Madrid who left the Finance industry to pursue his passion for wine. O Fournier producer wines in Argentina, Chile and Spain and their objective is to earn a reputation for being one of the worlds most outstanding wine producers. Currently, the group owns estates in Mendoza and Ribera del Duero with over 160 acres planted with vineyards of up to 57 years of age.

The estate is located in the premium red wine region of Ribera del Duero and is planted with 60 Ha of Tempranillo, a large proportion of which is 22 to 52 years old. Situated in a bend of the Duero River, the vineyards are a combination of sand and large pebble stones unique to O Fournier's estate within the region. The vines benefit from extended ripening hours due to the heat retaining qualities of the stones.
