History
The name Chapoutier has been present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. Seven generations later we find Michel, with a real passion for the expression of soils, at the head of this exceptional winemaking firmly, anchored in history and traditions.

Following a turbulent past, the village of Gigondas was granted the AOC in 1971. Our vineyard is situated between Orange and the Mont Ventoux, on the left bank of the Rhône.

Its an autumn day and the stew is bubbling, its time to crack out the Rhone classics. I like this wine, i like to have a bit more of the liquorice characteristics in my favourite Gigondas but this is a goodun.

An excellent wine at a good price. I am a great fan of the Chapoutier wines however cost is often out of my range.
