History

The estate, located in the stunning Uco valley was founded at the turn of the millennium by the Spanish O Fournier family. An extensive development plan is in place and the estate now boasts one of the most futuristic wineries in Mendoza, with a hotel and restaurant on site yet to be completed.

The winery lies beneath the snow capped Andes at an altitude of almost 4000ft above sea level in the beautiful Uco Valley. O Fournier owns 3 estates covering 286 ha which allows it to meet 30% of its grape requirements for the first harvests. The remainder is purchased from carefully selected, high quality, local producers. B Crux wines are named after one of the stars of the Southern Cross. This constellation is only visible in the Austral Hemisphere. The characterisation of the ostrich on the label symbolises the joining of the earth and the sky. The Argentinean Mocovi Indians captured this through paintings in the caves they inhabited and through different legends that were passed from generation to generation.
