Jane MacQuitty - The Times 24/11/2012Of the 2011 vintage, Jane MacQuitty said: “Mouth-watering Muscadet made from the shy, sharply acidic Melon de Bourgogne grape used to be a rarity. Not anymore. The past decade has seen the western Loire’s tart, tinny Muscadet’s replaced by crisp, light, lively, leafy, glace fruit-streaked whites just like Chateau Palatio. Any of you after a steely spitzy lemon-juice winter white will have met their match with this one. A refreshing Muscadet in such a topsy turvy vintage is a steal”
Jamie Goode - S Magazine, Sunday Express 13/01/2013Of the 2011 vintage, Jamie Goode said: "With lemon fruit and keen acidity, this fresh, bright white would be a good foil for an asparagus and runner bean risotto."
Le Pallet is a famous village known for the tragic love affair of Abelard and Heloise. Ten winegrowers from Le Pallet decided to join forces to make their own revolution. They are stronger together than the most hardy of the group. Also Le Pallet has been recently classified as “Cru de Muscadet“ due to the exceptional quality of the soil.

I've always liked Muscadet Sur Lie and haven't had any for a while so thought I'd order a case of this. It's a lovely wine and extremely drinkable alongside food and on its own so much so that I'll have to order another case very soon.

One of my all-time favourite wines. Pale yellow in colour; a light, fruity bouquet; balanced acid and fruit on the palate; a clean, acid finish.

As mentioned by another contributor, this is more than a standard generic Muscadet AOC. This is a chateau-bottled Muscadet sur lie AOC. Great with fish or shell fish - or simply as an aperitif.

Tesco Finest wines are invariably good in their class and good value.I was surprised that this wine was sold as simply Muscadet and not Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur lie which it is. I will always keep two or three bottles in stock.
