Tasting Notes

A wine with so many awards to its name, it needs a cabinet.

A classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with the grapes coming from top-rated Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, this is a sophisticated Champagne with classic toasty aromas and fresh, crisp citrus and apple flavours.

Serve chilled, on its own or with canapes like smoked salmon blinis, or go crazy and have it with fish & chips - a great match!

Expert Opinion

In the press...

"Seriously sophisticated fizz, made by one of the best producers in the small Champagne village of Avize. It’s a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, and what sets it apart from the crowd is a brilliant, concentrated biscuit flavour, not unlike digestives."

Helen McGinn - Daily Mail 21/12/2013

"To save a few quid, go for supermarket label fizz such as Tesco finest* Premier Cru Champagne Brut NV which is shrill and bright."

Olly Smith - Event Magazine, Mail on Sunday 23/03/2014

"This classy wine impresses with its lovely balance and grace. Expect a dry style, but rich with flavours of cream, brioche and even a touch of red cherries from some pinot noir in the blend."

Susy Atkins - Delicious 01/11/2014

The producer, Union Champagne in Avize, is the largest owner of premier and grand cru grapes in Champagne, owning some 1200 hectares of vines, thus giving them access to the lion's share of the best quality.
