In the 1950s a winery, established since 1898, built ageing cellars in the Saint-Pierre area of the village. The cellars' first wines were given the name Caves Saint-Pierre. Over the years all aspects of the wine making process have been perfected.

Caves Saint-Pierre is situated in the beautiful medieval village of Chateauneuf du Pape in the Rhone Valley. The large stones of the terrain retain the heat of the sun and warm the grapes at night.
