An inspired choice for a hearty stew.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 3 years

Susy Atkins - Stella, Sunday Telegraph 25/05/2014
Of the 2011 vintage, Susy Atkins said: “A pretty serious red for the price, peppery and savoury, long and full-bodied on the finish. Touriga Nacional is the best-known grape in port production, here unfortified.”
João Portugal Ramos is strongly linked to Portuguese wines: first as a consultant oenologist, and since 1992, as a producer. João built Falua in 2004 and the winery has gone from strengh to strength, boasting state of the art winemaking technology and producing wines of an excellent standard. Current head winemaker Antonina Barbosa has a Master in oenology, she has been Falua's winemaker for the last years and her wines have won many awards.
The Alentejo is located in the South of Portugal and is the hottest and driest part of the country, spanning right accross to the border of Spain. The vineyards are planted around Estremoz at over 400m of altitude, which gives much needed cool breezes and helps the fruit to retain its freshness creating wines with vibrant fruit and good acidity.
