Soft and spicy Fairtrade wine from South Africa.
Full of jammy and black pepper flavours with a smooth elegant finish.

This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 2 years
Terry Kirby - Independent on Sunday 24/02/2012Of the 2011 vintage, Terry Kirby said: “Fairtrade Fortnight begins tomorrow, so it is a good time to explore some of the increasingly improving wines from approved New World producers such as South Africa’s Fairhills. The Petit Verdot grapes add fruit and vibrancy to the darker, more tannic Cabernet Sauvignon, combining to deliver a punchy, very moreish wine that is the perfect partner to baked gnocchi or pasta with meatballs in tomato sauce.”
Fairhills Rawsonville, South Africa was set up in 2005 and is the largest Fairtrade project in the world, whereby over 1000 people benefit from the premiums generated. Every bottle sold helps to build daycare centres, schools and community centres.

The 11 Fairtrade farms attached to the Du Toitskloof coop are situated in the Breede Valley, one of South Africa's largest wine producing regions set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains.

This really is a very fruity and "jammy" tasting wine with a little spicy zing . Absolutely lovely.
