Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Made exclusively for Tesco by award-winning producer Codorníu, this is a cracking Cava with light, refreshing citrus fruit flavours and a really generous fizz (lots of bubbles= stays fizzy in the glass longer)! A blend of three traditional grapes, this is one to put with canapes or - if early - add a splash of fresh orange juice for the freshest Bucks Fizz.

Susy Atkins - Stella, Sunday Telegraph 28/07/2013
"Made by Codorniu, this is an absolute steal, dry and lively with a good depth of yeasty flavour and hint of lemon. Beats the socks off many fancier high street cavas."
Olly Smith - Event Magazine, Mail on Sunday 18/08/2013
"And if fish and chips are more your thing, you'll find Cava's crisp bubbles crackle across crunchy batter perfectly - try Tesco Cava Brut NV."
David Williams - The Observer Magazine 21/12/2014
"I'd also choose a decent, and not too acidic, sparkling wine from a cheaper region: Tesco's toasty cava, for example is a robust and flavoursome base, at a fraction of the price."
In 1551, Jaume Codorníu began making still wines in Penedès, Spain. In 1872, having studied the ‘champenoise method’ of sparkling wine production in Northern France, Josep Raventós, a descendant of Codorníu, applied the technique to the traditional Penedès grape varieties of Macabeo, Parellada & Xarel.Lo and created the first bottle of Cava. Today Codorníu is an award-winning winery with the best selling Cava brand in the UK and back home in Spain.

The grapes used in making Tesco Cava Brut come mainly from the area with the most Mediterranean climate in D.O. Cava, where local varieties exhibit their authentic character.
