Swartland Winery was established in 1948. Supplied by some 200 members, they are now one of South Africa's largest wine producers. Their fantastic value is the result of the intense flavours obtained from dry farmed, low yielding old bush vines
The Swartland region, some 50 miles north and east of Capetown, has a hot dry climate in which unirrigated bush vines thrive alongside neighbouring wheatfields.
