A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a little Cabernet France, this wine is a beautiful, brilliant deep red, with a nose of black fruits, fig and tobacco; The palate is rich, with intense black fruit flavours, whilst the toasty vanilla notes lend enormous complexity and character to this wine; Absolutely delicious, outstanding value.

The property was established at the beginning of the 19th century, by M.E. Pédesclaux, a wine broker from Bordeaux. Originally created by joining plots from several different Cru Classé vineyards, it remained in the Pédesclaux family until 1891, when the property was purchased by the Count of Gâtebois. Then it was taken over by the Jugla Family and more recently by Mr Lorenzetti. Meticulous vinification and barrel ageing add to the wines complexity and character set forth by its remarkable terroir.
Pauillac is situated in the heart of the Haut-Medoc and is arguably the most famous of the left bank appellations, not least because 3 of the 5 first growths are in the Pauillac appellation. The starting point for Pauillac's outstanding quality is the soil - largely free-draining gravel, which is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Although the Chateaux have become increasingly adept at creating their own individual character, nonetheless there is still an identifiable Pauillac style: full, rich and characterized by the classic cassis and cedarwood aromas of oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon
