Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Made from a classic Southern French blend of Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes, this is a robust, brooding red with generous black cherry fruits.
Big flavours work brilliantly with beef and lamb dishes.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 1 year
The history of Maison François Martenot dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when Lucien Gustave Martenot acquired a domain of 10ha in Savigny-les- Beaune. This domain has been created in 1859 by Léonce Bocquet, then sole owner of the Château du Clos Vougeot. His daughter, Charlotte Martenot continued in his footsteps. Thus, through generations, Maison François Martenot, has extended its activities to all the appellations from Burgundy to Beaujolais.
The vineyards are situated in the 118 communes of the Pyrenees Orientales. The climate is mediterranean with the benefit of the dry "tramontane" wind. Soils are mostly sandy granite and brown and black schist.
