Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Deep ruby red in colour, this Amarone has an impressive structure and depth.
It is intensely perfumed with dried cherries, mature fruit and spice.
Powerful and full-bodied, with a sweet-savoury character with a bitter cherry twist on the long finish.
The alcohol is balanced with good acidity and refined tannins.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 5 years
The Allegrini family estate covers 100 hectares of vineyard in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area. The family has been growing grapes here for several generations, founded by Giovanni Allegrini. When he died in 1983, it passed to his three children, who ran it together until Walter’s death in July 2003. Franco now looks after the vineyards and is the winemaker and Marilisa is director of marketing.
Valpolicella is a wine-producing region in Veneto, in northern Italy. The Allegrini family`s vineyards are southeast facing, and are located in the Valpolicella Classico hills at 180-280m above sea level. The soils are varied, but mostly chalky, stony and well-drained.
