Purplish ruby-red in colour, with a seductive nose that offers black fruit such as blueberries and blackberries along with a subtle floral touch that recalls lavender, all framed by sweet spices such as cloves and nutmeg from the oak.
A light balsamic touch increases complexity.
Fine tannins lend a velvety mouthfeel, while fresh acidity adds a fruity firmness.
The flavours confirm that this is a nicely ripe and tremendously friendly wine that will continue to gain complexity over time, while its bright acidity predicts excellent longevity in the bottle.

The Errazuriz Estate was founded in 1870 when Don Maximiano Errazuriz planted his first vineyards at Panquehue in the Aconcagua Valley - 100km North of the capital. Recognising that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world class vineyard.
The grapes that go into our Max Reserva Syrah came from our Max and Ocoa vineyards in the Valle de Aconcagua, which has a Mediterranean climate, with moderately warm summer days and cooling evening breezes. The drip-irrigated vineyards have rocky sandy-clay soils and very good drainage. The spur-pruned vines are vertically positioned for good solar exposition throughout the growing season, which encourages the development of high quality fruit. The canopy is intensively managed to ensure excellent balance between the foliage and the fruit load.
