Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
A happily uncomplicated blend of Carignan, Grenache and Shiraz grapes from the Rhone Valley.
The hot, dry climate results in lots of expressive fruit in the glass, in this case red fruits and spice.
Makes a great party red, or quaff with meatballs and pasta.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 1 year

"Tesco stocks richer, more structured Rhones, but for sheer value, this new, fresh and raspberry-tinged red - fairly light and easy-drinking, gets my vote."
Christine Austin - Olive 01/04/2014
"Full of juicy raspberry fruit, Vineyards Cotes du Rhone is soft enough to enjoy on its own, but can partner a mid-week lasagne or roast chicken."
Christine Austin - Olive 01/08/2014
“For midweek suppers, this is a great-value, simple juicy Rhone wine with raspberry fruit and soft tannins. Perfect with pizza.”
The Rhone Valley extends between Lyon and Avignon. The wines of the Rhone Valley were already known from the Roman era. Of course, the popes in Avignon in the fourteenth century had made this vineyard prosperous. The art of winemakers have been able to exploit the diversity of soil, climate and grape varieties to produce the best quality wines.
Wines are made from a rigorous selection of grapes of Syrah and Grenache that have maturated and grown in the best vineyards in the southern part of the Rhone Valley. The hot and dry climate of the region enables the making of the classic red wines with some complexity and a high concentration of fruit.
