Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
A truly classic Chablis, made by one of the best producers in this northerly region in France.
Characterised by the rich soils, the wines are known for their pure fruit and rarely see an oak barrel.
This one included - it is practically quivering with crisp green apple fruit and really zippy freshness.
Serve chilled, with simply grilled fish, or try with fish pie.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 3 years

Of the 2013 vintage, Olly Smith said: “Tesco finest* Chablis has lashings of purity and intensity.”
Bertrand Straebler was born in 1963. He became the Winemaker for Labouré-Roi in 1995. “Initially, I modelled my wine by imitating the older, traditional produce. Later, I let my imagination roam, abandoning empirical methods & modelling the vines with the respect they deserve. I always maintained the authentic balance of the landscape & soil. Every year, I work hard to respect what nature entrusts to me. To pass on this creative work, to give pleasure to all those who love great Burgundy wines.”
Chablis is near Auxerre in the Yonne département and is one of the northernmost wine growing areas in Burgundy. It has the particular characteristic of only producing white Chardonnay wines. The area is also recognised for its geology; the major base course dates from the Kimmeridgian era. Chablis vines are planted on the hillsides of the Serein Valley, the Serein being the tranquil river that crosses the Chablisien area. Our grapes come from the villages of Chablis, Fleys, La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne and Maligny.
