An impressive blend of Rhone red grapes from old vines including Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, this wine has beautifully concentrated flavours of raspberry, black cherry and spice.

Of the 2012 vintage, Jane MacQuitty said: "Deeply impressive romping Rhone red, with stacks of plump, curranty, brambly fruit: ideal with barbecued burgers and ribs."
Grown in the north of Vaucluse between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Rasteau in the plain of Plan de Dieu. The vines are 30-50 years old, giving layers of flavour to the wine.
The vineyard is planted on chalky-clay soil. 2011 has been an exceptional year: an unseasonably warm spring, a spring-like summer and an ideal autumn.
