"There is one tricky thing about recommending non-vintage wines - which are usually perked up with the fresh vintage towards the end of its lifespan - and that is that it's impossible for you to tell whether you've picked up the right bottle. Still, this particular NV looked fantastic at the Tesco tasting, and tasted far better than Tesco's more expensive Finest Muscadet Sur Lie. A simple wine, but a good one."
Muscadet is grown in vineyards around the city of Nanes in the estuary of the Loire valley. Wine growing started in this area during the Roman empire and carried on growing in quality since then.
From the Loire estuary with clay soils, rich in minerals. An oceanic climate, with soft an wet winters and gentle summers.
