Victoria Moore - Daily Telegraph 21/01/2012
Drinking this feels as good as it does to sink into a deep warm bath at the end of a long day. With a bit of age it's also mellowed. Terrifically impressive and so easy....
Founder, Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold emigrated from England to Adelaide in 1844, bringing with him vine cuttings from the South of France. He established the Magill vineyard and winery, marking the beginning of one of the worlds great wine stories.
Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, mild - warm weather throughout summer helps the fruit to mature well and rains at harvest allows fruit to ripen well with good varietal character.
