Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
Yalumba is Australia's oldest family-owned winery and was in fact founded by an English brewer, Samual Smith.
Based in the Barossa Valley, this is a beautifully crafted blend of Shiraz and the white Viognier grape.
The result is ripe and rich, with violet aromas and bramble fruit flavours.
Brilliant with beef.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 5 years

Of the 2012 vintage, Matthew Jukes said: "This wine is a stunning example of how a dribble of the white Viognier grape enhances and tames the dark, brooding Shiraz grape. Lusty, silky, blackberry and plum notes cavort with liquorice and espresso beans – drink it with the awe-inspiring Beef hotpot recipe."
Yalumba, Australia's oldest family owned winery was founded in 1849 by Samuel Smith, an English brewer. He purchased a 30 acre parcel of land near Angaston, South Australia and called it "Yalumba", Aboriginal for "all the land around".
Yalumba is based in the Eden Valley, a sub-section of the Barossa Valley, Australia's greatest wine-making region. Six generations, and 160 years later, Yalumba remains a hero of the region.
