Wonderfully fresh and crispy with a dry, bright finish.
Flavours of green apple mingle with riper peachy notes and a hint of spice.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Susy Atkins - Stella (The Sunday Telegraph) 08/01/2012
Thyme and lime mingle here in a tangy succulent, slightly peppery white. I've had success matching this with simple tomato pizzas, globe artichokes and herby salads.
Jane MacQuitty - The Times 21/07/2012
Of the 2010 vintage, Jane MacQuitty said: "I am a big fan of the giant co-operative Cantine Settesoli and its classy, contemporary, fruit-driven, international and indigenous Sicilian varietal wines. Part of the huge Inycon estate overlooking Menfi on the southwest coast of Sicily, Settosoli wanted their vermentino to display the apricot flavours ofthe variety, underpinned with Menfi's flinty, mineral notes. Anyone tasting this juicy, floral, lime, barley sugar and stone-fruit stashed white will know that they have succeeded."
With 6000ha, Cantine Settesoli pays strong consideration to the heritage and cultural aspects of Sicily and desires its wines to be reflective of their terroir.
Mimmo De Gregorio
The Settesoli range of wines captures the essence of modern Sicilian winemaking: ripe fruit, clean enticing flavours and excellent value, all qualities found on this sunny Mediterranean island. Vermentino is a variety well known in other areas of Italy and finding a new interpretation at Settesoli.
