Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
The island of Sicily is hot, hot, hot - which suits the Fiano grape down to the ground.
Lots of sunshine really brings out the sunny flavours - peach, apricot - and there's even a hint of spice.
If you like ripe Chardonnays, give this a try! Really good with roast chicken.
This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to 1 year
Victoria Moore - Telegraph Weekend 22/06/2013
Of the 2012 vintage, Victoria Moore said: "Tears were shed when Diego Planeta (yes one of those Planetas) resigned as President of Sicily's Settesoli cooperative last year. He'd been at its head for nearly forty years, successfully steering many of Sicily's small grape producers into the 21st century. This Fiano is made by the cooperative and it's a great white for summer, with hints of sunflower and pineapple. Bring on the caponata."
Fiona Beckett - The Guardian Magazine 01/03/2014
Of the 2012 vintage, Fiona Beckett said: "…a smooth, easy-drinking white from Sicily."
Cantine Settesoli is one of Europe's most important wine co-operatives. Created in 1960 it produces fantastic, fruit dominated wines that reflect the perfect Sicilian climate.
