The Wine Gang - winegang.com 01/05/2014
Of the 2011 vintage, The Wine Gang said: Marques de Casa Concha is one of Concha y Toro's biggest success stories in recent years, and again, this new vintage of Syrah shows intense ripe plum fruit with pungent tones of liquorice. It's succulent, dark and meaty, although it could do with another two years to smooth out its big, beefy nature.
Mike Tipping - The Yorkshire Press 24/05/2014
Of the 2011 vintage, Mike Tipping said: “It’s a very New World example of the grape, fruit forward and easy to drink. Concentrated, juicy and ripe, it oozes forest berry flavours, with black pepper and toasty oak. The sweet edge to this wine will help it pair with spicy red meat dishes such as chilli con carne.”

Marques de Casa Concha is a small range of single vineyard wines made from classic grape varieties. Winemaker Marcelo Papa chooses the most suitable location for each grape variety and also uses a variety of French oak barrels from some of the best cooperages in France to achieve an elegant and harmonious style to this austere range of wines.
Edging up the Andes Mountains the vineyard for this Syrah is cool climate, giving rise to a flinty, pure Syrah. Cooling winds drift down from the Andes Mountains and ensure that the vines do not over-heat and therefore ripen too early. This vineyard is also heavily influenced by the El Nino effect - all ensuring optimum vine growth.
