For the money this is a pretty pleasant summer quaffer, if cranberries and sour strawberry fruit is your thing. The 10 g/l of sugar perhaps takes the edge of the sour fruit we could (still) taste, but it'd be a budget crowd-pleaser at a picnic we're sure. Made with 50% Gamay, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, and made by Les Grands Chais de France.
Tesco PDM and Serge Debucy ( Lacheteau winemaker) meet every year to blend the new vintage in line with Tesco's requirments.
Serge De Bucy
The grapes are sourced from the Loire Valley, the wine is made in the same region.
