Clear and intense purple red in colour; this full-bodied, dry, wine is mellow and velvety on the palate, with a long finish and an excellent balance.

Known as the ‘Barolo of southern Italy’, this big, muscular, beautifully structured red from the Basilicata region is a beast in a bottle – complex and rich with layered dark-berry flavours, spices and a hint of violets. Cerbero was the mythical three-headed guard dog in Hades, with the same force of nature and tenacity as its wine namesake. Absolutely demands food, especially red meats.
The Aglianico grapes were first brought to Italy by the Greeks. The wine was nambed "Cerbero" after "Cerberus" from the Greek mythology, a 3-headed dog, guard of Hades, recalling its force and tenacity.
The Aglianico del Vulture grapes are selected from the calcareus hills of Vulture. The wine made from this native grape is considered as one of the best Italian wines and is defined, thanks to its winemaking style and taste as the "Barolo of South Italy."
