Thin and generous bubbles that has intense fruity aromas with notes of apple and pear.
This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 1 year
Piccini's story began in 1882 with Angiolo Piccini, who owned only 7 ha of vineyards in the Chianti area. Even today, Piccini is still 100% family owned by Mario and Martina Piccini who mark the 4th generation of the family.
Alberto Fabbretti
The grapes used for the production of "Prosecco" come from the vineyards located in the provinces of: Belluno, Gorizia, Padova, Pordenone, Treviso, Trieste, Udine, Venezia and Vicenza.

this prosecco has been tagged with a '1' dryness rating by Tesco, which is incorrect. This wine is determined as extra dry which does not mean it is dryer than a brut variety. On the contrary it is one step sweeter than brut so should at a minimum be rated a 2 if not more appropriately a 3. Lovely all the same as that sharp edge is replaced with mellow fruit flavours all the more.

I purchased a case of this prosecco for myself, thinking my partner would not be interested. I was so wrong. Not too gasy either. He loved it and as enjoyed most of it. We will be buying more.

This is a fantastic wine.I always buy when on offer, but i would not pay £15 a bottle. i love it , its sparkle is just right, extra dry but not too tangy, fantastic wine for those who love dry and sparkling wine. I have taken it to parties and everyone has loved it, used it for special occasions when champagne is too expensive. Try it when on offer.

This is a great prosecco, dry but full of flavour and really refreshing when served well chilled. At this discount price it is tremendous value. I have kept some for a special occasion, but it is difficult not to drink it now, it is so good.

We served this Prosecco at our drinks party yesterday. I thought it was excellent and extremely good value. It is dry without being sharp and there is no unpleasant lingering aftertaste. I will certainly buy it again

This prosecco consistently receives high praise from visitors to our home. We have used it when entertaining and now have several cases in stock. It is light, delicious and refreshing - with just the right amount of fizz -and when it can be found at 50% off it is particularly good value. I know when I offer it to friends and family that it will be enjoyed and appreciated.

I ordered a case of the Piccini Prosecco at a great price. The delivery was very fast and the quality of the wine is excellent. I would certainly recommend Tesco's wine delivery and this particular wine.

We were drawn to this wine because it was being promoted at half price (£7.50 a bottle instead of £15). Its definitely worth £7.50 and represents good value at that price but we would not pay £15.

Unfortunately, having thoroughly enjoyed this Prosecco on many occasions, I found the last case somewhat disappointing and lacking in flavour.

I personally particularly like prosecco as a white, dry wine - this combines the beauty of prosecco with the extra fizziness of vino spumante and the taste of the extra dryness. Giving a delightful burst of flavour with the pleasure of bubbles of carbon dioxide and the dryness of the wine.

Light, fruity, dry and aromatic - refreshes the parts other sparkling wines cannot reach.

I have never had a case of sparkling wine that was not good! Whether it be a pinot noir, prosecco. They are wonderful for just a drink in the eveing after work, or for a party!! I hope other customers have had similar experiences. Many thanks.

This review is for the 2011 vintage
This Prosecco was purchased for a birthday celebration but, in the event, couldn't be used because it was almost flat and so had to be returned. The description "thin and generous bubbles" was a bit optimistic. "Thin" (very) was probably near the mark but "generous" most certainly wasn't.

If you like your wine slightly dry and fizzy then this is a good one to start with.
