Gran Familia Las Primas Tempranillo

So had to wait for my first glass when we had a Show. It i s a good wine and I received no complaints from other people who drank it.

I bought a case based on the good reviews I read but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this wine at all. It was undrinkable. I am trying to use it up by cooking with it.

I 'discovered' this wine about a year ago and have bought (and enjoyed) quite a few cases. It isn't a fine wine but is a really excellent everyday tipple : it is very drinkable with any red meat and cheese and it is reliably consistent. Watch out for it to come up at half-price and stock up!

A very tasty wine. Good with most meats, cheese, pasta or on its own.

Probably wouldn't have bought this, usually buy Aussie reds, but it was half price 7.99 down to 4, very nice wine. Would recommend.

Easy drinking wine .Dry and not too heavy.Good price.No negatives for this everyday wine,especially if you prefer 'old'to'new' world wines.

when bought at the right price, as in a 50% sale from tesco, this is a very enjoyable wine for any occasion. will buy again.

Well rounded and easy drinking un-oaked wine suitable for every day use. I've now ordered a fourth case of this, which I prefer to the Gran Famililia oaked Rioja which I have also tried and is very good in its own right. This seems to be good with all types of food and is a bargain at the special offer price. Highly recommended.

You must try this wine! Half price!!!! Then fill your store cupboard one of the best!!!! There is one Fault, you can't get enough!...

bought a case of this in my last order ...im tempted to say that its awful! so as there will be more for me to purchase again...cmon folks for the price its a litle cracker.....big family indeed, a lovely little number especially at the price .........

Found this wine by accident and was pleased with the generality of it. Every day drinking (if you so wish) with food of any sort. (I am a red wine drinker).

you get a little bit more than what you pay for with this one, a decent nose, half a finish, and all told fair value.

Well balanced red wine that is suitable for accompanying a meal or drinking on its own.It is medium bodied, not too paked. Medium depth. Has a pleasant bouquet - I get blackberries in the bouquet.I think it is slightly rough at the edges but it has no nasty after taste and it certainly more than acceptable and indeed pleasant. Very well priced and I would certainly buy again.

Lots of positive comment here already so people are buying lots of this. We couldn’t have said that about cheap-end Spanish wine 30 years ago but now £3.99 gets us a pleasant tipple of Spain’s ubiquitous grape variety. That’s a 50% off price mind so I’d have to say I’d nose around and probably choose something else if I was being required to pay full price. But hey, there’s nothing offensive going on here, just open and drink and if you don’t finish the bottle it’s interesting to see what you have next day after a 24 hour breath!

I love red wine and this is a fab little number especially when it is half price unsophisticated . easy drinking everyday wine. At £3.99 it has to be one of the best value wines available. I always order a couple of cases when doing my wine order. Go on have a go!

Las Primas Gran Famillia is my favourite Spanish red wine, it's also my favourite rose' and good value for money, especially when on half/price offer.

Nice easy drinking wine and very good value at £3.99 a bottle would buy again.

Very fruity wine, light, crisp, great with a cheeseboard

This was pleasant enough I guess but a bit disappointing for a Tempranillo. I can normally guarantee a Tempranillo will be a rich tasting delicious wine but this was a little "light" tasting for me. I wouldn't mind buying it again but I have tasted a lot nicer ones.

Happily drunk a case when on sale. Excellent value at 3.99. Pleasant memories of Spain. Ordering some more to make a change from our usual heavier new world reds. Not sure how much Tesco would sell when at full price. I would expect somethinquite grand for 7.99.

A light Spanish fruity wine. Very suitable for quaffing at night, with or without food.

distinct flavors of fruit and tantalizing vaporous of summer wine, a pallet full of foggy and clegg without any sign of compo

Lovely example of this classic grape. Mellow with smooth flavours - goes with most foods or just as a drink on it's own!

Totally reccommend you try this lovely red wine. I liked it so much, after buying the first box, I bought another one!

this wine is not the best ive tasted. but it was resonable for the special offer price i paid. fruity. medium wine for every day glass or two.

Not as full bodied as I'd hoped but ok to drink on its own or with milld cheeses

Very pleased with this purchase, one of the best red wines I have tsted for a long time. Must be served at the correct temperature to bring out the best.

Great value, punches above its weight. I really enjoy this wine.

Looking for a nice red wine read the reviews on this and they seemed positive gave it a try and yes very tasty, fruity and drinkable wine at a very reasonable price - went back and bought some more

Bought this because it was recommended in a newspaper review. But very disappointed. To me it seemed to have too much tanin. And just didn't taste nice. My favourite in this price range is the Gran Tesoro that Tesco used to stock (is it coming back in????) which is fantastic value for money. I should emphasise that I am not an expert and my views are based upon my limited experience of wine. Furthermore, I usually drink white wine so I am not strong on knowledge of reds.

This tempranilo is so smooth and fruity, you can taste the berries especially the hint of plum and strong blackberry. I will be bying a lot more for Xmas, get it now before it all goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I assure you it will

Great taste for drinking by itself as well as with food my family expected it to be much more expensive . I would recommend this wine very much
