For me, this disn't have the vibrant fruity taste a Zinfandel should have. Had a strange aftertaste that just didn't do it for me.

Enjoyed this wine with roast lamb , made a lovely difference from the usual cab sav . Fruity and aromatic with a long lasting taste , also enjoyed the wine even better as it was half price . Will buy this wine again when it comes on offer .

I didn't enjoy this really, perhaps its because I tried CASTILLO SAN LORENZO RESERVA first and any wine might have tasted average after that.

To me there's no nose and virtually no palate, its all been stripped away probably by filtration, fining, sulphur and other stabilisers. I know Zin is tricky and falls apart generally after 5 years but this has nothing left. Wish they'd made it into a rose/blush instead.

Zinfandel is my favourite American grape variety. This particular brand is my first tasting and I was not disappointed. Lovely deep red, medium body with a strong fruit appeal and lasting aftertaste. Not quite as good as Ravenswood from the Lodi area, but for the price a really good deal.

.... then buy this wine which is extraordinarily good value at the present discount. Not the classic Lodi bottle but full and distinctively flavoured. I already re-ordered. Their Pinot Noir is good as well. Suspect these both will disappear rapidly at this current price.

This wine is pleasant drinking and in my view good value for money. Having had the pleasure of drinking Zinfandels in California by direct comparison this Zinfandel is disappointing but in fairness you get what you pay for. Vernon

an absolute cracker. great straight from the bottle, but once it has had a good chance to breath it really comes into its own.

I usually prefer Australian reds, but a friend introduced me to White Zinfandel so I thought I would try a Red Zinfandel. Really not disappointed this wine is warm and smooth and extremely moreish

Jacktone Ranch Zinfandel once again proves to be a smooth and very drinkable wine. Plenty of rich fruit flavours and and deep colour. It's very mellow with no harshness on the throat - and it's extrememy well priced.

At greatly reduced price this Zinfandel is good for 4*. Easy drinking, full but not heavy red.

I have been impressed by all the Jacktone Ranch wines I've tried from Tesco's and this one was no exception. At the discounted price I thought it good value, full-flavoured and with some decent length on the palate.

A beautifully fruity example of Calafornian red Zinfandel. This deep rich red is certainly good with red meats, but also makesa fine accompanyment to cheese-rich pasta dishes. This is also a wine that can be enjoyed on its own... I could imagine myself sipping this while sat on a verandah on a warm summer evening; obviously not something I could have done in the UK this year of course!
