With mouthwatering cherry and strawberry fruit flavours and a lovely touch of vanilla, this first class Marlborough Pinot Noir is an ideal partner for duck and other game dishes.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
Marlborough is now making a name for itself with some delicious Pinot Noirs, as this cracking example shows. Combining hints of cherries and spice with ripe strawberry and raspberry flavours, it offers amazing quality at this price.
Lined with fields of vines as far as the eye can see, the Old Renwick Road leads into the town of Renwick, right in the heart of the winemaking region of Marlborough. Here, on the banks of the Wairau River, at the northern end of New Zealand's South Island, is where we source the grapes for this premium parcel of wine.
Marlborough is New Zealand's largest and most renowned wine growing region. It enjoys the longest hours of sunshine of any place in New Zealand and is blessed with a unique terroir where a cool, maritime South Pacific climate produces wines of great fruit intensity.

Nice light and smooth red for about 7 quid, any more and your being taken for a ride - it gets discounted now and again

A very pleasant wine either as a social tipple or with good food.

We had this wine with our Xmas dinner and it complemented the food wonderfully. It didn't overpower the turkey and the fruity, slightly spicy taste went really well with the glazed ham and cranberries. A lovely wine to drink on it' s own too as it' s not too heavy. A bit expensive but for a treat I'd definitely buy it again.

A great red that goes well with chicken as well as red meats.

Relative to other Pinot Noirs from the same region this is relatively disappointing. It is perfectly drinkable but it's definitely lightweight and lacks real structure. If one were to buy it as an accompaniment to duck or other game dishes then it would be easily overpowered. I am a big fan of New Zealand Pinot Noir and it is my staple red wine. I think that there are considerably better alternatives for a comparable price. Whilst Tesco's offer excellent and genuine discounts on a range of wines the temptation in this instance is to observe that there's a reason it's half price. Buy it by all means but don't set your expectations too high with this one.

we thought we would try something new and as we really like new zealand wines gave this red pinot noir a go. It lived up to all expectations and is a delightful lighter flavour than the full bodied reds that we usually drink. We will certainly buy this again

As an enthusiast of Marlborough whites, I thought it would be interesting to try a red. How disappointing! My wife and I both found it thin and tasteless. A poor wine from a quality growing area.

A nice light easy-drinking pinot, good with roasts and the like but equally drinkable on its own. Good value at half price, but I'd want more if I was paying £18.

Having purchased a case of this wine I was quite disappointed at the quality it was not as described in the reviews given by Tesco.
