Tasting Notes

This fresh Chilean white is made from grapes grown in the foothills of the Andes, where they ripen in perfect conditions that help to increase the intensity of flavour- Delicately pale in colour, it is simply bursting with ripe floral scents, combined with a zingy citrus taste.

Long Country is a superb new range of wines made by a young, dynamic team of wine-makers based in Chile’s beautiful Central Valley. They offer exceptional value for money.

Regional info

This wine is produced by one of Chile's leading wineries - Carolina Wine Brands - and Long Country is a tribute to the remarkable geography that Chile boasts. The main area for vineyards lies in the middle of Chile and this wine is made from grapes grown in the Central Valley which sits between the awesome Andes range of mountains and the coastal range. Here grapes ripen in perfect conditions - dry, warm, long, sunny days with cooler evenings that increase the intensity of the flavours in our grapes.

I whole heartedly agree with the last reviewer. Rarely do I purchase a sauvignon blanc that is unable to be drunk - but this one is just that! It is easily the worst I have ever tasted

We normally drink New Zealand Savignon blanc, but some Chilean and South African bottles are very good. However this one is dreadful. It's down to personal taste and this bottle is not for us.

I have to admit I only buy this wine when it is on offer but I only ever buy wine when its on offer. This is a very crisp, refreshing wine and is very easy drinking. It never disappoints!
