This Cabernet Sauvignon offers a rich mouthful of juicy black fruit, and a magnificent toasty oak taste that lingers.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
Fantastic wine from California that benefits from the exceptional ripening conditions of this beautifully sunny state.
From a premium winery located just south of Lodi, in California's Central Valley.

Only bought this because five oaks sells out too quickly when on offer. Bit like chalk and cheese, this is stronger but still with lots of taste. OK as a substitute.

I normally prefers Pinots to Cabernet but this Cabernet is very good and represents excellent value when discounted by 50%, which it was when I bought it. Full of flavour with an oaky taste coming through. I will buy it again.

All Jacktone Ranch wines are superb . The quality never varies from wine to wine , and year to year . But if I have to choose one the Cabernet Sauvignon is it . A real fruity softness on the palate , it goes so well with lamb , beef , pork , italian etc. and is light enough for chicken and vegetarian . Extremely good value , too . Definitely my favourite and would buy again , and again .

Good offering from California at a sensible price. Not as good as the Shiraz but still a very acceptable wine with lots of fruit and a good boquet. California can make a wine at a price when it tries.

Decided to try this after reading several other reviews which were all favourable. So glad I did. Even my partner, who is only an occaional wine drinker, was very impressed and I have now ordered a further case which arrived today. I notice however that the vintage is different by a year, so hope it's as good. This wine is smooth and so drinkable I am having trouble sticking to my "one glass a day" rule. Particularly good with roast beef, pasta, or even just a pizza. Equally good just to relax with a glass even if you're not eating.

I love this wine and actually all the jacktone reds. I tried one as an experiment as I am relatively new to californian wines and was completely bowled over. This wine tastes so much more than it's price, reduced or not. It is well rounded, juicy, not too heavy, very easy drinking with a complex but not overpowering after taste. Wonderful stuff. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I ordered this as a gift for my father who is 87 years old and lives on his own. It stood up to the information and tasting notes that were provided. My father enjoyed the wine and drank it over the festive period. I have used a similar gift before for him, and he has always been delighted with my choice. I was very happy with the price and the delivery.

I have increasingly come to enjoy Californian wines and this particular one is smooth and fruity. Too mant reds leave a sharp rather unlpeasant taste on the palate but this wine is mellow with no acidic aftertaste. I drank it with a lamb dish and it matched very well.

If this wine were the only available product, I would be satisfied. I do not understand the so called experts descriptions of some wines e.g." has a rich flavour of ripe plums and dark berry with a hint of raspberry, smoky oak and complex star anise". All I would say is it tastes very pleasant when it hits the palate and although i would recommend it another person's taste buds night cause them to differ.

This is the best of the varietals that I have tried from Jacktone Ranch and prompted me to buy the others which do not stack up as well. Not sure this is a £10 wine but certainly worth buying when on offer; if I were offered this in a bar or restaurant with usual mark-ups at £25 I would be pretty disappointed.

At £5.50 a botle, this is excellent value. It has all the richness and depth of the grape but it it quite soft and not tannic as you might expect. I rate this and the Redwood Creek Pinot Noir as outstanding Californian wines at any price, but at £5.50 they are a steal.

I have bought cases of Jacktone Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon quite a few times. It is now one of my favourite wines. The moment Its rich fruity taste hits the taste buds, the day's troubles just melt away. I will certainly go on buying this wine.

Found the wine to be quite sharp, on the second bottle we opened a 6 hours before drinking and warmed up by radiator it was great then as sharpness no longer present. Went well with venison

Rich, fruity and very warming. Extremely well balanced and easy to drink. Pairs well with all meats, chilli and tomato based pasta dishes. I have already purchased about 8 cases and would definitely purchase again. Highly recommend.

This wine has a great flavour and goes with everything. I love the vanilla notes and it mixes well with the fruitiness. I will definitely be stocking up for Christmas.

I love all the Jacktone wines, I particularly like this one. It is very fruity, which I enjoy and complements meat dishes and poultry.

I first came across the Jacktone Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 a couple of years ago, and at the time I was very impressed with its quality and value for money; it had a really noticeable fruity depth, was not over-powering, left no adverse after-effects - and was very moreish. However, the recent batches have been less remarkable. The wine (2010) seems thinner, it lacks the pungent fruitiness (its ABV has dropped from 14.5 to 13.5) but it is still a pleasant drink, and represents fair value at £5.50 a bottle.

I first tasted this wine at a Tesco Wine Fair a couple of years ago, and loved it from the first sip. When you open the bottle you are greeted with a gorgeous blackberry aroma with oaky undertones. Deep ruby in colour, this medium body wine is an absolute joy and my favourite Cabinet Sauvignon. Goes wonderfully with Roast Beef.

This Jactone Ranch wine is very similar to the wine once sold by Tesco under the McMannis Family Calafornian wine lable. It appears to be the same stuff but at a slightly higher price. The same family produce Jacktone. The red is smooth , warm and fruity.
