Not for eleven quid though. Wait until it's on offer.

A very good medium / full bodied wine. Ideal with meat and pasta dishes or just to enjoy in its own right. Excellent flavour.

DRINKABLE BUT NOT AT £7.99. It is full bodied and goes well with red meat.

I would definitely recommend this wine. It is a very nice wine to go with red meats or cheeses or a delicious soft and fruity wine to enjoy on its own. It has a lovely lasting flavour.

Good value for money through the TESCO offer! A mellow smooth wine that we enjoy with most food, including oily fish. If this wine were on offer more often I would buy more of it!

A little disappointed ...

New world reds, and particularly merlots, are generally my favourite wines. I usually buy Australian but I decided to give this wine a try as I also love NZ sauvignon blancs. Sadly I have to say that I'm rather disappointed with Oyster Bay merlot. It's perfectly drinkable but lacks a certain something. I'd buy Oyster Bay again but not this one ...

Easy drinking Merlot

One of our favourite red wines that has suffered from gradually increasing prices, beyond what the wine is worth. We used to be able to get it easily for under £5, now it can be as much as £10.99. The Tesco price we paid of £5.25 brought back into our range and represented good value for money. Its a good light red wine, suitable for drinking on its own or with food. We often take it to our local unlicensedIndian Restaurant!
