Andrew, Tesco Express Welwyn Village
What I find is my local Tesco Express extremely useful. I’m the Sous Chef at the Wellington in Welwyn just down the road here. Obviously we have a very slick operation, but as and when we occasionally forget things as people do, its fantastic having an amenity so close and with such a large stock of things that we can just pick up on small bits and pieces to get our service on the way really, so we do, we do have these moments where we think, Oh no! we have forgotten this! And we can just run over the road and get it and its absolutely great. Obviously being quite a small community I know the staff here and stuff as well which is great, so I do actually bump into members of the staff and say “when I see you in the morning, can you remind me that I need XY and Z, so a really good back up recourse as well.

Lydia, Tesco Burnage
Hi my name is Lydia Hill, I live in Cheadle Hulme, my business is just across the road so I pop over here quite often to my local store in Burnage Tesco and I found it like, quite convenient because its just walking distance from the shop if I need anything, any last minute things and its good advertising for our business the Nail lounge. So, its quite convenient its good.
"I started a year before Tesco and after the store opened, I found that people who used to do their main shopping elsewhere, started coming here. It's meant I'm much busier."
Julia Lavanche, Florist in Old Swan, Liverpool
"Many people want to do their main household shopping and visit other shops in the town - that's why it's had such a positive impact on Porthmadog."
Derek Jones, Llyn Sports, Porthmadog, North Wales
"A bigger supermarket does bring people into town - there's no doubt that Inverurie is busier."
Angela Colley, Sock it to Me, Inverurie
"It's simple - although we all sell flowers, we provide bouquets and a wrapping service for special occasions. They just sell bunches. So it doesn't affect what we do."
Sarah Hood, The Flower Girl, Tiptree
