These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ‘Talk to us’ part of the Tesco.com website (Talking Tesco Site) and your relationship with Tesco.com (Tesco, Tesco.com, we or us). Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the Talk to us Site.
Please note that the Talk to us Site is part of Tesco.com and so the Tesco.com General Terms & Conditions also apply to you. Please click here to read them. The usual Tesco.com Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of the Talk to us Site, so please see paragraph 5 below for the Talk to us Privacy Policy.

Use of the Talk to us Site
The Talk to us Site allows you to submit material to Tesco and the Competition Commission. You must make sure the material you submit is related to the topic being covered by the Talk to us Site. You are solely responsible for the material you submit to the Talk to us Site and by submitting any material you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Rules about what you can submit to Tesco using the Talk to us Site
The Talk to us Site is designed to let Tesco capture feedback from its customers and other individuals interested in Tesco. Because of this, you must not submit any material which:
is not in the English language;
impersonates any living person;
is posted on behalf of a third party organisation or business;
is the same or similar to a message you have already posted;
advertises or promotes any goods, services, organisations or businesses, including the submission of web links relating to them;
reveals any confidential or sensitive information or the personal data of any other person;
puts any current or future court or regulatory proceedings at risk or could result in a court order being broken;
contains or links to any unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or indecent material or material which is deliberately intended to upset other users or material which is obscene, profane or sexually or racially offensive or which contains swearing;
could incite other people to commit a crime or breach any other regulation or code of practice;
contains any material which you do not have permission to use or which you have copied (including material which may be protected by copyright, trade marks, database rights or any other form of intellectual property right);
contains viruses or any other components with harmful or contaminating effects on the Talk to us Site, Tesco.com or any equipment or communications lines connected to it.

Your responsibility to Tesco if you do not comply with these Terms & Conditions
You agree to be responsible to us for our losses and costs which occur as a result of your breach of these Terms & Conditions and you should read paragraph 10 of the Tesco.com General Terms & Conditions for detailed information on this.
Some breaches by you of these Terms & Conditions could result in legal action being taken against you and you could be responsible for substantial costs and damages and we may be obliged to disclose information about you to appropriate authorities (including the police).

Tesco’s rights in relation to material submitted by you
We do not control the submission of material by you via the Talk to us Site, but publication of your material by us on the Talk to us Site will be at our sole discretion.
By submitting material through selecting "Email Tesco and the Competition Commission" you grant the Tesco group a perpetual, royalty free, world-wide, non-exclusive licence (with the right to sub-licence) to reproduce, modify, translate, make available, distribute and allow others to use any material you submit in whole or in part or in any form. We will try to credit authors of the material where possible, but will not always do so.
We reserve the right to delete, move and edit any material submitted by you entirely at our discretion. Once we publish your material on the Talk to us Site that will be available to anyone using the Internet to read.
Where you select "Email Tesco and the Competition Commission" we will pass your material unedited to the Competition Commission. We are not responsible for what happens to that material once it is submitted to the Competition Commission and the Competition Commission may publish your material (including your contact details) in publicly available documents and on publicly available websites.

Tesco is committed to protecting your privacy. The Talk to us Privacy Policy explains our data processing practices for data collected via the Talk to us Site. From time to time, we may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax to ask your opinions about Tesco and its products and/or services. If you do not want to be contacted for this purpose, please do not post material onto the Talk to us Site.
The Talk to us Privacy Policy only applies to the Talk to us Site; please see the Tesco.com Privacy Policy for information about our data processing practices for data collected via any other part of Tesco.com.

Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service.
