Tesco comments on the salt content of its sandwiches

Work to ensure our sandwich range has sensible salt levels will continue. We have already removed the equivalent of several tonnes of salt from our ranges and most either meet or exceed FSA targets for 2010. Additionally, sales data shows that Tesco Guideline Daily Amount signposts are leading cutomers to choose sandwiches with lower salt options.
