We are committed to making it easier for local suppliers to work with us and to stocking many more local products in our stores.
The Tesco Roadshows we are holding up & down the country are just one of the many ways we plan to do this. Interested growers & producers don't need an invitation to attend the pre advertised Roadshows – if they make or grow food in the relevant region, and are interesting in finding out more about supplying Tesco, all they need to do is turn up on the relevant day with their products. If their product is safe and legal for us to sell and it is right for our customers, then we will make every effort to work with these suppliers in order to stock it.
One of our more recent Roadshows was held at Loseley Park in Surrey, where the Tesco team were looking for new suppliers from the South East of England and new products to stock in our stores. The day was a great success with many suppliers turning up with some great new products. They met with Tesco buyers and technical managers representing all our food categories who were very keen to taste their products.
