Recipe for Camembert baked in a box

Tesco Finest Camembert works a treat for this recipe as it has an all-wooden box. If the cheese you choose hasn’t then transfer it to a small ovenproof dish and bake it in that instead.

Ingredients
- 1 Camembert cheese
- 2 Cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp Dry white wine
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- Cocktail gherkins
- Silverskin onions
- Peppadew peppers
- Cubes of bread, Breadsticks

Method
Camembert
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas Mark 4.
- Remove the Camembert from the box; if the box is just glued, staple the seam or it will come apart in the oven.
- Line the inside of the box with foil, then place the cheese
- Cut the garlic lengthways into eighths so you have spike shapes.
- Use a knife to make incisions in the top of the cheese, then poke the garlic into the holes.
- Drizzle the wine over the cheese then scatter over the thyme.
- If liked, you can chill the cheese again now until you are ready to bake it.
- Bake the cheese on a baking sheet for 15 minutes.
- Place in the centre of a large plate and surround with gherkins etc. for your guests to dip into the hot, runny cheese.
