We're sorry but the Tesco Mobile Pay as you go Lite Tariff is no longer available to new customers, for details on our other Pay as you go tariffs click here.

However, if you're an existing customer already on the Pay as you go Lite Tariff you can still enjoy a simple tariff with great low rates.

If you find that you're spending more than £10 a month topping-up your phone, take a look at our Pay as you go tariff which gives you free credit, so you get more for your money.

Handset unlocking:

If you wish to use another network's SIM, you will need to arrange for it be unlocked. If this is the case, you must not insert another operator's SIM card into the mobile without an unlatching code (which is not your PIN code). We will on request provide an unlatching code after 12 months starting from the date you activated your handset. If you activate your handset and use the Tesco Mobile network for less than 12 months before receiving an unlatching code, we will charge you a fee of £20 to unlock your handset.

If you wish to use Apple iPhone on another network we will only provide an unlatching code after 12 months or after the completion of any Pay monthly contract period. If the phone has been active for more than 12 months there will be no charge.

All Pay monthly contract handsets are eligible for an unlatching code after the completion of the Pay monthly contract period.

Call charges are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Rounding call charges and call duration
All calls are charged at one second intervals, so if you end a call part-way through a second, the time will be rounded up to the next second e.g. If a call lasts 44.5 seconds we'll round it up to 45 seconds.

We have to round up any phone charges to the nearest penny, as we are unable to bill you for anything less than that. For example, if the cost of a call was £1.01005 we'll round it up to £1.02.

Lost phone reception
If for any reason you lose phone reception whilst on a call, e.g. when you go through a tunnel, you'll continue to be charged for that call for up to 18 seconds.
