Healthy Lunchbox Weekly Meal Plan

Here are some tasty, healthy ideas for your child's lunchbox for every school day of the week.

Monday

  • 1 small carton of milk
  • Peanut butter and banana sandwich: 2 tsp of peanut butter and 1 chopped banana on 2 slices of wholegrain bread
  • 1 pot of strawberry fromage frais
  • 1 orange

Tuesday

  • 1 flask of vegetable soup
  • Tuna and sweet corn sandwich: 2 slices of wholegrain bread, tinned tuna (in spring water) mixed with 1 tbsp mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of sweetcorn
  • Half a carrot and half a celery sliced into sticks
  • 1 handful of seedless grapes

Wednesday

  • 1 small carton of unsweetened fruit juice
  • Corned beef and cucumber sandwich on ciabatta roll: 2 slices of corned beef, 80g cucumber chopped, 1 tbsp of mayonnaise,1 small ciabatta roll
  • 1 bag of popcorn
  • 1 pear

Thursday

  • 1 small carton of chocolate or strawberry milk
  • Cheese and tomato on wholegrain pitta bread: half a sliced tomato and 2 slices of low fat cheddar cheese, 1 wholegrain pitta bread.
  • 1 pot of strawberry yogurt
  • 1 apple

  • pitta bread filled with egg and salad: 1 wholegrain pitta bread, 2 eggs mixed with 1 tsp of mayonnaise and half a tomato. 1 serving of mixed salad leaves.

  • 1 banana
