Cat Advice - Kitten health
Kittens have very different nutritional requirements to those of an adult cat. Kittens should be fed on a diet designed specifically for kittens until they are at least nine months old. Home prepared meals for cats are often nutritionally incomplete which can lead to dull, dry coats, flaky skin and poor growth. The right kitten food will have exactly the right nutrients for your kitten’s optimum health and nutritional needs.
Kittens have small stomachs and so require several meals a day. Kittens aged up to six months should be fed three to four times a day before being fed at regular intervals that suit both you and your cat. Like adult cats, kittens usually prefer their food served at room temperature.
